These beautiful, large spreading nut trees are prized for their long, tropical looking, glossy green foliage, showy cascades of fragrant, yellow male catkins in June and abundant crops of sweet and nutritious nuts. Chestnuts are high in starch and are delicious roasted or boiled. Chestnut trees can grow to 25 ft. or more in height and are hardy to minus 25°F. Plant at least two trees for cross-pollination and good crops.
This hybrid of Japanese and European Chestnut is disease resistant and bears abundant crops of large, sweet nuts.
